The On the Beat Club is an exclusive, electronic monthly giving club for supporters of the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund. It is designed to recognize the work of the 867,000 law enforcement officers who protect us daily in our communities. If you are interested in supporting the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund through monthly donations of a few dollars a month, then the On the Beat Club may
be right for you!
How Does the On the Beat Club Work?
The On the Beat Club is an easy, convenient way to make regular, monthly donations to further the Memorial Fund's mission. Via electronic banking, a pre-determined contribution is automatically deducted from your checking account, or charged to your credit card every month. There's no hassle, no additional expenses for processing checks, and fewer letters filling up your mailbox.
For electronic fund transfers, a record of each gift will appear on your monthly statement issued by your bank. For credit card use, the monthly amount authorized will be charged to your credit card. If at any time you wish to increase or decrease your donation amount, or suspend your membership, simply give the Development Associate a call at 202 737-3400 and we will gladly accommodate your request.
On the Beat Club membership is not only convenient for you, but for the
NLEOMF as well. It reduces our administrative costs, cuts overhead, and
conserves valuable resources so we can put more of your dollar to work in accomplishing our mission.
What will my On the Beat donation support?
The National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund supports several
programs. The mission of the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial
Fund is to generate increased public support for the law enforcement
profession by permanently recording and appropriately commemorating the
service and sacrifice of law enforcement officers; and to provide
information that will help promote law enforcement safety.
The most well-known of the Memorial Fund's programs is the building and
maintenance of the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial at Judiciary
Square in Washington DC. The memorial currently has the names of over 17,000 law enforcement officers who have lost their lives while protecting
their communities.
The Memorial Fund also honors current officers with the Officer of the Month
program. Each month a law enforcement officer is selected as the National
Officer of the Month. Officers are honored in their communities and also at a national luncheon in Washington DC during Police Week.
The Memorial Fund is also nearing a major milestone in law enforcement history by building the National Law Enforcement Museum across from the Memorial. Groundbreaking is expected in 2008, with an opening in late 2011. The National Law Enforcement Museum is expected to increase the visibility of law enforcement officers, and their everyday commitment to protect their communities, to the public.
Are there Special Membership Benefits for On the Beat Club Members?
